Hi-Country HC2814.1 Santa Fe P-S 48-seat coach with blunt end for mid-train operations. Custom finished. Very nicely detailed w/painted interior, window glazing and factory trucks. Painted and lettered 2814 (formally the Chuska) as one of 4 cars (2812-2815) rebuilt from round-ended 4-1 lounge observation cars built in 1938. These converted coaches were completed in the Summer of 1960 and used on the Chief trains (SF Chief and Super Chief) for their remaining time of passenger service for the Santa Fe.
Produced by Kumata of Japan for Hi-Country Brass in 1981 with 150 produced. Completed in our LSC Custom Shop. Includes Kadee couplers, diaphragms, window glazing, window treatments and a full interior with passengers. Faux taillights with correct color light jewels.
