Nickel-plated brass with installed 2-axle painted Central Valley sprung trucks. Included too, are a pair of installed Kadee couplers.
Originally entered service on the ATSF as a new business car, #5001, and namedSanta Fe. The car was later renamedAtchisonon 05 August 1957. It was renumbered to ATSF #52 on 08 August 1973. Its accommodations include StateroomsAthroughDfor one person each. It also has room for an observation area for eight people, as well as a dining room, with service for eight.
Car has been completed in ourLSC Custom Shop, finished to resemble the Pullman Standard Car Manufacturer's (PSCM) stainless steel appearance after being the second "Santa Fe" business car, post-1957 (Budd Car Co. delivered the third "Santa Fe" business car in 1957). Our car depicts the appearance it was in the early 1970s, lettered "Atchison" and before the prototype received its upgrades in the mid-1980s.
