A Great Addition to Your Brass Collection.....
Manufactured by Kumata in the late 1970s for S.Soho & Co. is this very nice preowned dining car for Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railroad. Travelling with the Chief Trains of the mid-1950s through the early 1970s when they were sold off to Amtrak.
These were produced in Japan and made of nickle plated brass to duplicate the railroad's stainless steel fleet. This car comes complete with a package of Champ Santa Fe decals and car end diaphragms to be installed by the modeler. No glazing or interior comes with this model.
Car appears to never have been used or used very little. No couplers are installed. All the original package, foam and the box is present. Box shows some shelf wear, common of a 40 year old model. No information on how many of these were produced.
