Southern Railway’s flagship passenger train was The Crescent, operating between Washington, D.C. and New Orleans. It continued on after Amtrak as the Southern Crescent and was the last privately operated streamlined passenger train in America when Amtrak took control of the train to in 1979. The Coach Yard is offering both the 1949 The Crescent and the 1970-79 Southern Crescent, as well as a number of additional cars, FACTORY pro-finished: lettered and painted per prototype in HO scale.
