PRODUCT INFORMATION
Union Pacific's 60' Postal Storage cars produced by Pullman Standards in the late 1960s were developed to handle the overflow of mail when at its peak. Later, these cars became MOW and tool cars and a small few saw action on steam excursions. Known as express box cars for the UPP Heritage Fleet, these took an active role providing a dry place for tools and equipment. UPP 24336 became the infamous UPP 9336 that rode behind 844 (Challenger) and 4014, the Big Boy steam locomotive before being severely damaged in a yard mishap in April of 2012.
Overland Models HO scale Union Pacific 60" Plug Double Door postal storage car built by Ajin of Korea in 1982. Only 150 were produced. Complete with Kadee couplers and uncoupling bars, installed.
Inspected and tested thoroughly. Original box and foam show minimal shelf wear.
